Art gives shape to cultural change

1)         I chose the two tables at the 3:38 of the video. The both represent a part of history, when European people take African persons and bring them in the America. At the left we can see a small boat they are many people on board. They are all blacks’ persons except for the last person who is a white noble. On the table on the right there is for peoples who seems to be in prison. They are may be the same person who was on board. I chose this picture because I like it, through this two tables we can see the reality of history. We see people happy to go in America but they go to a prison and work for the white persons. I like the history and this show how was the past and we have to remember it if we want to progress.

2)         a) Thelma Golden think art can change the way we think about culture and black culture specifically. Beside art create new history, images show the past and what the future could be. The pictures have a power on people on how they think and perceive images. Sometimes a new vision is bring by artist and creates a new community of people. These persons have the same interest in what they find in art. Art can also contribute to discover a new work and discover about our selves. In general art talk about beauty, power, our selves, and it’s creating in the aim to talk and speak to each other.

            b) Thelma golden raise question about the role of a museum in a society, she wonders if in museum we can look and find answers about how to change the world. For her artist makes art for changes the opinion of the world. She also wonders if it’s a catalogue in a community, because for her it’s a place for dialogue and makes an exchange of many ideas and gathers people together.

3)         I agree with golden, because I think artiste makes art for give a message. The artiste wants to transmit how they see the world or show their opinion. Sometimes artists do some artworks shocking in the aim to make reacting people, and help them to see the reality. They have a big influence on the society they make arts not just for the aesthetic but for helping the world to change. Art has also the aim to remember the history what happened in the past, as that we can learn to our mistakes and never do the same mistakes. To conclude, I think artists, are as content providers but also as real catalysts.

1) According Richard St John the height secret of success are passion, work, good, focus, push, serve, ideas and persist.

2) I choose the secret of passion; Richard St John said a sentence during the video that I always say, it’s to do a job you love not for the money because if you love it the money comes anyway. I’m totally agree with him, to research only the money it’s not good for life but doing everyday something your love is more fulfilling. Beside everybody want to be happy and the happiness isn’t the money but it’s to have a great friends and a family, the other are only material thing. For me it’s like that I want to spend my life, because I want to be a teacher and I know that I never be a millionaire but I know that everyday I get happy to do what I want to do. And it's more motivating than having a lot of money, to be alone and don’t know what to do with. Also money makes people crazy because they wanted more and more every time and they lose the view of happiness. The passion makes people more interesting and creates people open on the world and they meet each other. This is for all reason I chose the word passion because I think it’s the most important for living a nice life.

Informal letter

Hello guys!!

I get back home since two days, and I missing you so much!! It’s been amazing these two weeks with you. You showed me the American life and I loved it. I want to say to you a huge “thank you”, you are the tree persons the most extraordinary I know. I’ll always remember the party we do at your friend’s home (It was legendary!!). I never did a party like that, people were so nice and we had so much fun. You invented and hosted me during two weeks so I want to give you back all you did for me. That’s why I’m asking you to come to my place during this summer. Tell me when you are free and I’ll organize everything. I have so much idea to do with you!!

The King George VI

The king George VI was the son of George V and he is the father of the actually queen Elizabeth II. He was the second son of George V so he always knows that he never be the England’s king. Since his childhood he suffers from a terrible stutter and a big shyness. It was a serious problem for a person of the royalty and more at this era. He suffered a lot during his childhood because his father was ashamed and he wanted to cure his son. So George VI saw all the best therapist of the world. It’s Lionel Logue an Australian who teaches to the future king how overcome to his stuttering. He became the king of the England and the rest of his kingdom because of his brother. His brother wasn’t a good king he was carefree and flighty. When he was crowned the Second World War began, and he was forced to declare the war to Germany. The September 3, 1939, he delivers his first speech of war with a minimum of stuttering. George VI became the symbol of the strength of the British Empire against Nazi Germany, and during the dark years of World War II, his speeches cross countries and oceans, through the airwaves of the radio, to encourage his army to fight against the enemy. He gave the example to his people to never give up and to get over his disability.

Hello,
I'm Marjorie, I'm eighteen years old and I'm studding for the first year the science of language. I do my studies in Grenoble but i don't live there. I want to be a teacher for children so i have to do five years in the university.
I have one brother of 23 years old and a sister of 21 years old, so I'm the younger. When i'm with my sister, we go to cinema because we love watching movies and we also watch a lot of TV show, like "How I met your mother" "one tree hill" "gossip girl" "glee" and "bones". We only watch american TV show because they are the best.
When I'm not I school I love to spend my time with friends, we go to cinema, do shopping or go to the bar, we also do lot of party!
